Metal RemoversMitfloc 5065L is an aqueous solution containing 35% active sulfur-based metal precipitant. It is used to remove trace amounts of heavy metals from water by precipitation as the metal sulfide. Mitfloc 5065L reacts to reduce highly oxidized ions and to remove metals. Competing metals (cations) will also react with Mitfloc 5065L and must be taken into consideration when calculating dosages. This material can replace dithiocarbamate-based metals precipitants. It is normally used where chelants or complexing agents interfere with traditional chemical precipitation techniques.
