Alpet® PERA FC 22% is a concentrate version of Alpet PERA FC 15% developed for use in Federally Inspected meat, poultry and seafood processing locations. When used as directed, it will help to reduce cross-contamination of edible food products.

Directions For Use:

Meat Applications:
FOR USE ON RED MEAT PARTS, TRIM AND ORGANS. For direct or indirect application to raw or further processed whole, half or quarter or red meat parts, organs and trim, mix this product with no more than 6.27 fluid oz. per 10 gallons of water or ice (this provides 1,200 ppm as PAA, as approved in FCN #1738). The final amount necessary to accomplish the intended task will vary considerably from plant-to-plant; the recommended usage rate is between 150-600 ppm as PAA. Apply use solution to carcass or meat using spray or dip applications. Spray application may be at pressures up to 250 psi. Make up water may be preheated up to 40° C (104° F) if desired. If used in cooling water or dip-tank application make up water can be chilled to 1° C (33° F).
POULTRY APPLICATIONS:
The additive is used as a general process water or ice antimicrobial agent on poultry carcasses, parts, and organs for spray or submersion uses in accordance with current industry standards of good manufacturing practice (unless precluded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s standards of identity in 9 CFR part 381, subpart P) where the use of peracetic acid is listed in FCN #1132, #1419, #1806 and for OLR/ OFLR applications listed on the 7120.1 list. This product complies in all respects with the FCN’s listed above. Note: 1 oz per 10 gal of water will yield 190 ppm as PAA.
SEAFOOD APPLICATIONS:
This product may be used in water or ice that is used to commercially prepare, process or store fish or seafood intended for human consumption in accordance with FCN #699. The maximum concentration allowed is 190 ppm as PAA.
READY-TO-EAT:
This product may be used as an antimicrobial water or brine treatment in the preparation and cooling of cooked and formed (Ready-To-Eat) meat and poultry products. Product may be used up to 220 ppm as PAA (1.15 fl. oz. per 10 gallons) in accordance with FCN #908. Adjust levels as necessary to maintain adequate microbial control.
FRUIT AND VEGETABLE WASHING:
For use in water or ice that contacts non-raw agricultural commodities (fresh-cut and/ or further processed fruits and vegetables). Product can be applied up to 2.6 fl. oz per 10 gallons of water (500 ppm active peroxyacetic acid) in accordance with FCN #1738. The recommended concentration is between 30-300 ppm as PAA (0.16-1.6 fl oz per 10 gallons). The final concentration necessary to accomplish the intended task will vary from plant-to-plant. The product may be used in sprays, dip tanks, wash tanks, brush washers, etc. Adjust concentration accordingly to maintain desired concentration. A potable water wash is not required.
